Washington, DC – HFX is proud to announce that the 2024 Halifax International Security Forum will be held November 22-24, 2024 in Nova Scotia, Canada.  The 2024 Forum takes place two weeks after the US presidential election and will be the first major international gathering in the post-election environment.

“In case we needed it, Alexei Navalny’s murder gave us still more evidence that the dangers facing the democratic world are too real for any single nation to solve alone,” HFX President Peter Van Praagh said.  “The 2024 Halifax International Security Forum, right after the US election, will provide a vital venue for Americans and non-Americans alike to set a strong course—together—for strategic cooperation among the world’s democracies.”

Halifax International Security Forum is recognized globally for its cozy and confident convening.  Only at Halifax International Security Forum do the entrepreneurs who drive our economies, the writers who challenge and influence the world’s thinking and the decision-makers tasked with tough choices share the stage with the very individuals who are on the ground facing consequential local threats.

Invitations will be issued in the spring and as always, participation at Halifax International Security Forum is capped at 300 people.  The Halifax International Security Forum Topical Agenda will drop in October.
