Washington, DC – HFX announced today the opening of its call for applications for the 2024 Peace With Women Fellowship.

The Fellowship is a three-week executive study tour for senior female military officers from NATO and NATO-partner countries. The 2024 program will include meetings with senior military, political, business, technology and civil society leaders in Canada and the United States and will conclude at the annual Halifax International Security Forum.

“Women’s participation and leadership in international and security affairs is essential to strengthening strategic cooperation among the world’s democracies,” said Peter Van Praagh, HFX President. “HFX is proud to shape the future with this unmatched program that advances women’s leadership and builds a dynamic network of senior military officers from around the world.”

The 2024 Fellows will join a diverse and dynamic alumnae network of 68 officers from 20 countries, many of whom have been promoted within their respective service branches since participating in the Fellowship.

The Fellowship is open to active-duty female military officers from NATO and NATO-partner countries of rank equivalent to army colonel or naval captain (NATO rank OF-05) or above. Applications are due by May 8, 2024, 11:59pm ET.
