FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, DC – HFX today announced the 2023 class of its landmark Peace With Women Fellowship. The program, now in its sixth year, received another impressive group of applications from NATO and NATO-partner countries.
Among the career highlights of the Class of 2023:
18 higher education degrees
301 years of combined service
“The 2023 Class of 12 women from 10 democratic countries reflects the best of their armed forces,” said Susan Markham, Director of HFX’s Peace With Women Fellowship.
“This year, the Peace With Women Fellowship welcomes participants from all of the Five Eyes – the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand – a testament to the critical need for this program,” she said.
The Fellowship is a three-week executive program for senior active-duty female military officers from NATO and NATO-partner countries. It begins October 24 and concludes at the 2023 Halifax International Security Forum from November 17-19. During the program, participants will visit Washington, DC, Colorado Springs and Denver in the U.S., along with Ottawa and Toronto in Canada.
Fellows will meet with government officials, military leaders and experts in the political and technological capitals of the United States and Canada. They will join the Fellowship’s alumnae at the 15th Annual Halifax International Security Forum.
HFX is grateful for the ongoing commitment and generosity of Fellowship sponsors Deloitte and the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Foundation. Watch this video about the impact of the Fellowship.
