WASHINGTON, DC – The 2014 Halifax International Security Forum will take place November 21-23 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Now in its sixth year, the annual Forum features democratic leaders and thinkers who gather to address the most pressing international security challenges.

“We are proud that leaders from around the world meet at Halifax at the end of the calendar year to set priorities about international security and stability into the new year” said Peter Van Praagh, President of the Halifax International Security Forum.

The Halifax International Security Forum brings together individuals who are on the ground facing consequential local threats, writers who challenge and influence the world’s thinking on security, and decision-makers who make the tough choices.

The 5th annual Halifax International Security Forum took place in November 2013 when 300 prominent individuals from over 50 countries met to exchange ideas and insights about pressing global security issues.

Invitations to the November 21-23 2014 Forum will be issued in the spring. To watch videos from the 2013 Forum please click here.
