WASHINGTON, DC — HFX, the Washington, DC-based convener of the Halifax International Security Forum, is pleased to announce three new members of its Board of Directors.
The Honorable Mark Lippert, a current Board member, has also been appointed as Board Vice Chair. The new Board members are:
Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who was elected President of the Republic of Croatia in 2015, serving until 2020. She is an independent member of the International Olympic Committee, and was Chair of the Council of Women World Leaders from 2019 to 2020. She has also been Croatia’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador to the United States, and the first woman in NATO’s history to serve as Assistant Secretary General;
Yun Sun, who is a Senior Fellow and Co-Director of the East Asia Program and Director of the China Program at the Stimson Center. She is widely recognized for her expertise in Chinese foreign policy, U.S.-China relations, and China’s relations with neighboring countries;
Joshua J. Omojuwa, who is founder and Chief Strategist at The Alpha Reach, one of Nigeria’s foremost Digital Media companies, as well as the convener of The Conversations On Democracy & Development (CODED).

HFX is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization. The 13th annual Halifax International Security Forum will take place in person on November 19-21, 2021 in Halifax, Canada. Earlier this year, HFX announced it will also hold a major international conference in Taipei on January 21-23, 2022.
