Canadian Commercial Corporation

CCC is a state-owned enterprise of the Government of Canada established for the purpose of assisting in the development of trade between Canada and other nations. As the Government of Canada’s government-to-government contracting organization, CCC is committed to being a trusted partner for defence and security acquisitions from Canada on a government-to-government basis.

CCC works closely with Canada’s Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to meet the needs of purchasing governments for new equipment, while also supporting Canada’s defence relationship with its allies and partners. DND and CCC also collaborate closely regarding the sale and refurbishment of surplus military equipment from the CAF inventory.

The Corporation was established in 1946 to assist in the postwar reconstruction of Europe and, in 1956, was given the responsibility for meeting Canada’s obligations under the U.S.-Canada Defence Production Sharing Agreement. Today, CCC assists governments around the world by providing a timely and simplified acquisition approach that reduces risk and enhances bilateral relationships. CCC reports to the Parliament of Canada through the Minister of International Trade.
