Halifax International Security Forum and The McCain Institute Host Georgian Defense Minister, H.E. Tinatin Khidasheli

WASHINGTON, DC—Halifax International Security Forum and The McCain Institute for International Leadership today welcomed H.E. Tinatin Khidasheli, Minister of Defense of Georgia, for a small, off-the-record conversation, held at the office of the Halifax International Security Forum.

A former civil society activist, Minister Khidasheli was appointed as Georgia’s Minister of Defense on May 1, 2015, becoming the country’s first female defense minister.

The event was moderated and hosted by Mr. David J. Kramer, Member of the Halifax Board of Directors and Senior Director for Human Rights and Democracy at The McCain Institute, and Ambassador Kurt Volker, Executive Director of The McCain Institute. 

The 2015 Halifax International Security Forum will be held November 20-22 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
